An antique crewel work embroidered panel, dated 1918.
Stitched in wools on natural linen.
Lots of lovely stitching & charming motifs of foliage & birds.
With signs of age including some fading (see image of the reverse for original colours), a small tear on the left hand side & a hole on the bottom edge.
21 inches x 55 inches
I have 2 other similar panels which came with this, listed seperately. The dates vary so I think the maker stitched them over a few years & then they were made into a screen.
